Breightmet Hub: Men in Sheds and community growing, 2nd Aug

A busy day at the site, the Men in Sheds lads had a brew and put the world to rights for the first ten minutes of the session, then it was cups down, and tools up and ready to tackle some activities.

Five lads attended today’s session, all had arrived around twenty minutes before the session was due to start, its great to see such a level of enthusiasm from them.

Today Landrover Dave continued making the second trestle from reclaimed timber, and taught the lads the correct way to use power tools in the process. I continued, as with every week of late to sow seeds into cell trays including beetroot, kale, turnip. and Chard.

In the late afternoon there was a little rain, but seeds were already sown, the trestle was finished and it only lasted a minute or two, so all was good and we all managed to stay dry.
