Breightmet Hub: Men in Sheds and community growing 27th July

After opening up the site and sorting out brewing tackle for the Men in Sheds I had a quick five fruitful five minute meeting at the New Lane UCAN centre before walking the short distance back down to the Hub.

A good turnout for the Men in Sheds session today, 8 people including tutor Landrover Dave. Today the lads were finishing off making a work trestle they began last week, they also made a further 4 fire baskets from the inside of spent washing machines.

Whilst this work was going on, Dave from Red Lane continued to organise and move things about inside the shed in a bid to make more space to walk and store things, and a great job he did too!

My work today consisted of continuing to sow lots of seeds, some weeding, some planting, and organising on site work for the estate rangers team.
