Get growing Breightmet 12th July

After having taken a week off work due to gastrointestinal problems its great to be back working and great to be working with our growers in Breightmet whom I have missed despite my short absence.

Our work today has consisted of our usual staple of filling up large pots with seeds and plants and delivering them to various addresses round the estate.DCIM100MEDIA Today we prepared and dropped off around forty large pots.

We also spent sometime talking with Mark one of our growers on New Lane, Mark has been buying up a lot of reduced priced plants and bushes and has really got into his growing big time.

In the late afternoon after Wynn and Alan left I carried on potting on a few Oca tubers, more tomatoes and mixed herb and salad pots for delivery to our growers next week, and continued dropping pots off at different addresses. Despite the time of year when a lot of growers have toned down their seed sowing we are continuing with various root veg, salad crops and beans and peas, there is still much to do on our gardeners calender.
