Get growing Breightmet week 3: Preparing for abundance

Once again, a real mixed bag of work today, the day began with me unloading lots of gardening resources into the alleyway to the rear of the UCAN centre. Followed by  delivering bags of compost and potato sacks to various growers houses, it was whilst out and about that I caught up Martin Naylor one of our Growers, Martin has already started his gardening work out of his sheer enthusiasm for wanting to grow some of his own food, his greenhouse was already set up by the time I arrived at his place.Next up was a quick catch up with Community development worker Lisa Forrest, followed by a creative catch up with story teller Len Grant who is sketching and writing a story of the project as it runs through out the growing season. In the afternoon, I loaded up the large trolley with bags of compost, fruit trees, seed trays, mini greenhouses and Potato grow bags and dropped each lot off at the homes of this years growers dotted about at different locations on the estate.
