Willow Hey project: Working in the Autumn sunshine

After a few attempts at rain this morning our site lit up with the golden rays of the autumn sun. We had a great turn out today, Bill an experienced gardener who lives on the estate round the corner came over and helped us out by trimming down some of the longer grass and weeding some of the raised beds.

Big Phil one of the Great Lever woodsman turned up and chainsawed up some large pieces of felled tree to the rear of our Hub building. Chris Wood set up some of the wooden disks in the fairy glade which will be open for local kids to visit and open up their imaginations.

Meanwhile Hannah cropped a large bucket of grapes from the rear of the site which I will make red wine from during the next day or so as i did with last years crop. Me and Wynn Hutch planted hundreds of overwintering onions, some French Garlic, shallots, and around fifty broad bean seeds.
