Beechcroft Urban foragers day 29th August

When I arrived at Beechcroft community plots this morning I expected to see one or two Mums and a couple of kids, how wrong I was, and gladly wrong at that, we had a great turn out for our Urban foraging day.

Walking passed the Beechcroft wildflower meadows on our way down the hill to forage for wild fruit.

Over a dozen of us left Beechcroft estate and walked down the hill towards a small wooded area at the bottom of the Hill. Long before we reached the wooded area we found crab apples, blackcurrents, one or two commercial apple varieties and some Elderberry trees, which we will return to in late September/early Oct. But instead of me talking my way through this great day, here are some pictures instead.
