Willow Hey 25th June

Another mixed bag day of work today, first call was a predatory visit to a local high street gardening centre to clear their shelves of reduced price tomato plants and other bargains that we needed to buy for our growers. After a quick catch up with Chris Wood and some planting on of beans courgettes and Tomatoes we left the Willow Hey site and drove over to the Cawdor estate where we dropped off compost, plants, support canes and other gardening resources at the houses of our growers. When we returned to the site we set about doing more watering, clearing and potting on, and eating our dinner round the fire pit.

The site is looking very lush and fertile at the moment, no doubt aided by the huge amounts of poo that the Geese who live on the site have left for us in our raised beds.

All in all an interesting and varied day of gardening on the move and gardening on our Hub site.
