Breightmet Community food Hub 10th June

What can I say, another glorious day weather wise, I,m tempted to even say its summer but we will see what happens over the next week or so. Today on the newly emerging and developing Hub site in Breighmet myself and Landrover Dave continued as we had left off the week previous, my first job was to scatter about some sprouted wildflower seed bombs on a patch of land just outside the site gates, then Dave put together raised beds, whilst I filled the beds with soil and planted and sowed directly into the beds. As the morning moved on the heat ramped up and we continued working at a steady pace throughout the day making and filling the beds. Despite the fierce heat and a hot windless afternoon we managed to get a fair bit done, and will be back for more next week.

A quick pic we took whilst having a break, the raised beds Dave made are all stacked ready to be filled with soil.
