Community roots project update: June 3rd

After a relaxing and much needed break at this years Sunrise celebration festival, today marked the return to our project to continue our work, and in some ways quite an eventful day, I did an interview first thing this morning for the Chai Times an interesting and new local magazine which will be coming in sometime in the summer. The interview itself was really about providing a profile of our aims and objectives, and how our work will hopefully develop over time, the interview went really well with myself and journalist Pete casually smoking fags as we walked round the site chatting. connectingWe then spent an hour working with Karen our oldest grower discussing how best to use her garden space at home as we are going up to her house next week armed with tools and a plan.  The rest of the morning was spent planting turnip seedlings which Richard who shares our site kindly gave to use, and planting on french climbing beans and beetroot.
